The fourth-generation Kia Sportage has undergone a revolutionary transformation and features a bold new look, with the vehicles designers creating a sense of dynamism from every angle. The design of the all New Sportage has been led by Kia's European design studioin Frankfurt, Germany, with input from the brands Namyang, Korea and Irvine, California design centres.
The front end of the All-New Sportage conveys an aggressive design, featuring a muscular bonnet and high-positioned front headlamps. The grell has been enlarged and is available in 3 styles depending on grade.
Euro NCAP Rating
Euro NCAP has created the five-star safety rating system to help consumers, their families and businesses compare vehicles more easily. The safety rating is determined from a series of vehicle tests, designed and carried out by Euro NCAP. These tests represent, in a simplified way, important real life accident scenarios that could result in injured or killed car occupants or other road users.
Thanks to the body rigidity and the active and passive safety devices employed, the All-New Sportage has been awarded the full 5 stars by Euro NCAP, making it one of the safest compact SUVs on the road.
GT-Line Interior Styling Pack
The interior of the 'GT-Line' is differentiated from the rest of the Sportage range with a unique Black Leather Upholstery with Grey Leather Inserts*. This is complemented with Silver Stiching found on the Front Centre Armrest and Leather Upholstery. A new D-Shaped Sports Leather Steering Wheel with Perforted Inserts & GT-Line logois offered as standard and a Black Headlining and Stainless Steel Pedals further add to the sporty feel of the grade. Finally at the rear, the GT-Line features a chrome boot sill guard as standard.
Front Fog Lights
All grades excluding the GT-Line incorporate bulb-type front fog lights. These are encased in high gloss black fog light housings, with blade detailing. For a sportier feel, GT-Line includes LED front fog lights designed in the same ICE-Cube style found on the GT-Line grade found on the New Cee'd.
The All-New Sportage features an array of new safety systems including Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Bi-Xenon Headlights with Auto Leveling & Adaptive Lighting Systems, Lane Keep Assist System, High Beam Assist, Speed Limit Information Function, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
As with the current Sportage, the All-New Sportage features 60:40 split folding 2nd row seats to allow for extra-large items to be loaded with ease. The luggage area load cover fitted as standard also helps to hide valuables in the rear of the car, with a detachable screen which can be stored neatly under the boot floor.

The All-New Sportage sets out to create even more impact in the compact SUV market with its 4th generation, thanks to a revolutionay new design, enhanced build quality and further performance improvements.
The All-New Sportage now benefits from ventilated front seats in addition to heated seats. The heated seats are found on the front and outer rear seats on '3' / 'KX3' upwards, as well as 'GT-Line' with the same three temperature modes found on the outgoing Sportage. The ventilated seats are positioned on the front seats only and are standard on '4' / 'KX4; upwards.
Structure & Rigidity
The extensive use of advanced high strength steel and hot-stamping process, along with a reinforced body design ensures that the All-New Sportage benefits from superior body rigidity. This provides the vehicle with an improved average strength whilst also resulting in reduced body weight of 12kg.
The All-New Sportage 'First Edition' benefits from the latest in technology with a wireless mobile phone charger. By using an electromagnetic field, the driver can avoid the inconvenience and interference of charging through a wire. USB & Aux ports are standard across the range as is Bluetooth for handsfree calling and music streaming is also standard across the range.
The side profile still resembles the outline of the outgoing Sportage. The muscalar design on the front end is continued on the side profile with door indents and a high beltline. The front and rear lights now curve more with the side of the Sportage to accentuate the horizontal lines on the car's beltline.
The All-New Sportage range now features DAB radio with MP3 compatibility and a 6-speaker stereo system as standard. DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) produces better sound and offers a wider choice of channels.
The New Sportage benefits from both 7" & 8" satellite navigation with improvements in features and functionality over the outgoing model. A reversing camera system is standard on grades which incorporate the 7" and 8" sat nav screen.
10-way Power Adjustable Seats
The New Sportage offers high levels of comfort with 10-way Driver's & 8-way passengers Power Adjustable Seats with sliding, reclining, height adjustable settings. This adds over the functionality of the outgoing Sportage which features only a 6-way Power Adjustable Drivers Seat.
